I will never look at rabbits the same way again.
Watership Down was a delightful surprise. Beautifully written, multilayered, and an unforgettable adventure. Adams constructed rabbits into characters more distinct and charged with depth than many writers can do with humans. A terrific lesson on comradery and leadership. I need to create a shelf called I can't wait to read this to my future children. And this is by no means solely a children's book.

first and foremost, i can’t believe it’s taken me 2 decades to read this book. i loved it. it made me cry, it made me scared, it made me happy… i went through the full wheel of emotions from one chapter to the next.
i also am always happy that i consume a plant-based diet when i’m reading stories about anthropomorphic animals :)

This was a very pleasant reread for me. Sometimes books that I first read in high school or college are a disappointment to me when I reread them now. This is not the case with Watership Down. I would say this is a timeless classic in the sense that anyone from the very young to older adults can find something about the book to appreciate.
