This is such an influential novel, that as a fan of dystopian literature it pains me to rate it so poorly, but I simply did not enjoy the style or the characters. I don't remember half of their names.
If you were to ask me what happened I'd be hard-pressed to give you a clear answer. However, if you were to ask me what the message was I'd be able to tell you all sorts of things.
