Shelves: fantasy, roman, skrekk

I'm picking up Stephen King novels in quick succession these days. It's not because I'm a big fan of his, but because they're remaking It the movie and making a movie based on The Dark Tower series. Unfortunately I got the release dates mixed up and read It first. Oh well. It doesn't matter.

I gave the book three stars. It's two stars less than the jackpot and two stars more than striking out. So it means I found it pretty average. The positives are King's ability to set the mood and scenes. He's ...more

Great book. This was my second book by Stephen King that I've read and he's living up his reputation so far. I greatly enjoy the book. The ending of the book was rather unexpected though.

The book was about seven friends that are called back to their hometown 27 years after they were forced to fight pure evil as kids. I just could not seem to finish this book. I was just slogging through it and I feel disappointed in myself for not being able to finish it. I normally enjoy Stephen King's books, but this one just wasn't for me. Maybe I'll pick it up again in a few months... ...more
