I really loved this book. I am writing this review about a month after I finished reading and it has stuck with me. For me that is the testament to a very good book.
There seems to be a new wave of stories about the WWII era whose point is to get us to view from the "other side". The Boy in the Striped Pajamas was another of these. You know what's happening, you know where this is going, you know what being a Nazi means historically, but you still can't help but root for Werner to escape....the ...more

Great book, I normally don't like books about WWII, this one is one of the few I do like. The story jumps around a bit, and some times you need to read a bit to understand where you are chronologically, but it's really well done. You have a little about both sides of history, German and French, it shows the human side of things and of course some cruelty's that took place at the time.
Not much I can say without spoiling the story, I can just recommend the reading. ...more
