I really did not enjoy this book. I couldn't relate to any of the characters and thought the plot was dismal!

I read this on the recommendation from a man who claims this is his favorite book. This book is so powerful and has so many layers. Without reading background information or reviews, I fell in love with this book. Apparently this is an extremely polarizing novel. It has a generational tone, with love, loathing, and personalities being passed down. The world is finally set right with the final coupling at the end.
