What Members Thought

I fell in love with Wuthering Heights when I first read it as a thirteen year old girl, and have read it many times through the years. I was so happy to see it as a September Book Club Selection, so I gladly pulled one of the four editions that proudly sit at the top of my bookshelf and re-read it for 2,179 time. To this day, it remains my favorite book of all time. In my opinion, the greatest novel ever written. ❤

I'm not sure what to think of this book yet. I had to read it for class, and we just took a test on the last 2 chapters. I liked it, but it annoyed me. And I honestly do not know how it can be classified as a love story. Catherine and Heathcliff treated each other like complete crap. If anything makes it a love story, it's Catherine (the second-haha) and Hareton. I did really enjoy it though. Out of all the books I've had to read for school, I think this is my favorite. I read this book as a young teen and thought that these were the stupidest characters I had ever encountered. I thought I should give the book another chance. Nope still stupid and also extremely unlikeable. I'm just glad I opted for the audio version. The audio actually made the strange third person narration bearable.
