a re-read, but on audio this time. WONDERFUL narration and i still love the story.

finally found time to finish the book thief, and hooray for no one asking me why i was upset. :) no crying, just a little teary this time. i look forward to reading it with the boys when they're older and able to understand and ask questions about the content. it's such a heartbreaking and heartwarming story, a story of love and loss, a story of what makes us human -- this unyielding ability we have to somehow to g ...more

I hated it. I am not sure, why though. All I know is that I wanted to slap the main charactes constantly. I could not finish it, and I never do that for a book. I foind the main characters to be whinny and annoying. I was hoping it would be another Anne Frank kind of book but it wasn't. ...more
