Good story, although there was a bit of a disconnect between the first part of the book and the second. Before the ship sinks, there is a lot of talk about Pi's religious inclinations (which are many). After the ship sinks, there is some talk of his religious life, but it didn't quite gel together like it should have. What I did really like was the introduction at the very end of an alternate story which may or may not be what really happened. Good, strong book here from Mr. Martel. ...more
