First book I’ve read in a day since high school. I’ve read up on criticism on this book and I could jump on that train too. Art does not exist in a vacuum. But for me, I really needed an escape from the world, an uncomplicated story, and a quick read. This fit the bill. It was so entertaining, and from picking it up after the seeing the movie, this is wildly different and loads better. Really loved losing myself in this world.
Great fast paced read. Mostly set in a gaming virtual reality and full of adventure and mystery. I loved all the 80’s references - very nostalgic!
