Great fun, and great audio. Unfortunately for me, I began this on my commute just before 2020’s version of the Apocalypse, so my commute ended and it took me until now to finish it. Guess that’s linked to the fact that I just put gas in my car for the first time since March as well (don’t tell anyone but I had to check which side the tank was on... embarrassing). But don’t let that deter you from this book if you like goofy, irreverent, and fantastical humor and could use a good diversion right ...more

I'm disappointed in this book. I shelved it back in 2012, and finally got around to it in 2018. One of the reading challenges I'm participating in had a prompt for books with two authors, and I thought it was perfect!

I liked the strange friendship between the angel and demon. I was on board with the plot, and quite enjoying myself, when Adam and his friends were introduced. They are written much younger than their supposed ages, and they prattle on for pages at a time. I just couldn't get past t ...more

This is a very funny, charming book. Crowley is a demon who just wants to have a good time and Aziraphale is an angel who enjoys the finer things of life on earth, but the Apocalypse threatens their way of life. So, these "life" long friends team up to try to stop the Apocalypse.

I loved these two. I liked their witty banter and hijinks. This is one book you will have to devote time to reading in order to thoroughly enjoy the language, otherwise, you'll miss out on the good stuff.
