I listened to a full cast production of this for my second time read through and that was really fun. This is just a silly, fun story.

This was a fun book—all about what happens when the anti-Christ is supposed to be raised by Satanists and instead, due to a bumbling nun, gets placed in a normal English household at birth. There are a lot of characters, side-plots, and misadventures as Armageddon dawns, but it stayed really funny and entertaining all the way through. I especially loved Agnes Nutter’s prophecies that were so accurate that nobody believed them and the little tidbits of pop culture references throughout the book. ...more

Two guys (nearly famous writers) decide to write a book together. You can imagine them falling about laughing at some of the things they come up with, each trying to top the other with the next stunningly clever idea. The result is this book. A collection of deliberately weird, deliberately funny and deliberately clever bits.
This is one book in which you just have to read the footnotes- look for all sorts of oddities including a haiku about putting on your seat belt.

Couldn't even finish the audiobook. Too smug for its own good. That's it for me and Gaiman or Pratchett.
