Somewhere between 3.5-4 for me. This dense classic required my full focus at times to follow what was going on and who was relating it to whom. The creature was so pitiful, and gave plenty to think about on the topics of loneliness, belonging, acceptance, but also questioning who is God, and who is creature?
Should people play God? Shelley makes a case for no.

Re read this book for Halloween scare. This time around I found myself just annoyed with Victor. I feel like the entire story was him whining about all the horrible things in his life and yet it was by his own making! I felt like he took no responsibility in making the monster, and then when it woke and he didn’t like it, he ran and avoided it.
