Probably 4.5 stars due to Thucydides dry narrative but an awesome read. Political stupidity has not changed.

Drier more military based Ancient Greek history, compared to Herodotus. As such not as accessible but still fascinating, not so much for the minutiae of the campaigns but for the overall sweep and biographical snippets and speeches.

Landmark edition again invaluable to keep track
