This book started off slow but then it was fast paced with twist that were not only intense but kept you guessing. I would recommend this read.

Shelves: 2025, age-adult, thriller

Millie manages to get a job as a maid in the home of Nina and Andrew, having kept her past a secret. But Nina is clearly unhinged, the gardener Enzo is a weirdo (even if he's hot), and though Millie knows it's a bad idea, she can't help but be attracted to Andrew. As things get worse, it turns out there's more to the story with Nina.

It has been a VERY long time since I read a book in one sitting. I read this in about 2.5 hours at the beach, raced right through. Twists upon twists! Clearly this b ...more

Now that Jackie Collins has long shuffled off this mortal coil, Frieda McFadden is my guilty pleasure.

Yes, her books are formulaic in the extreme, and yes, it's frequently possible to figure out the culprit long before you finish the book. But they're absorbing, quick reads, with the added advantage that they're well-written (unlike, say, the odious Colleen Hoover).
