What Members Thought

This book was really boring to me and depressing. I read a lot of dark books and for some reason this one just didn't sit well with me and I couldn't get into the story.
I also didn't like all the different POV's from the different characters because I couldn't keep them straight. I usually don't have this problem. I also think the number one reason I didn't like this book is Syenite. I did not like her at all or her story line. I just wanted to skip everything that had to do with her. ...more

It took me a long time to get into this book- nonlinear narratives are not my jam.
What I liked: the world building! DANG.

DNF@200 pages
The characters I felt we were supposed to like I didn't care about at all and the other characters were either whining little brats, or manipulative, vindictive people that I didn't care to get to know.
But have no fear!!!! I already started reading The Warded Man by Peter V. Brett, and am already loving it 100 pages in. 🙂
