So I am a little partial to chick-lit to begin with, and very partial towards books that depict Persian life and culture, so this book was a very pleasing combination of the two and since it told an engaging story to boot, I give it high marks.

I can't put my finger on why I liked this book so much, but it was enjoyable throughout.

I loved this book. I thought it realistically portrayed what an Iranian woman might go through when she is new to the US and is trying to navigate life, as well as the problems with visas and family.
This book reminds me of how fortunate one can be or not be depending on what soil you were born on.
This story had a lot of potential... but it ended up being contrived chick lit.
