When a book is as highly anticipated as this one was, you start to steel yourself for the inevitable letdown--even if the book is good, what are the chances that it will be that good? I mean, sure, her blog is funny as hell. And yes, if you don't follow her on twitter (@TheBloggess) you'll never know just how side-splitting random chaos and taxidermied animals can be. But really; a whole book? Surely it can't sustain the level of sheer manic Texas-gonzo hilarity and wrongness we've come to expec ...more

I love Jenny Lawson. She's hilarious and makes me feel better about my own messed-up life, that I'm not alone in all this. ...more

This is (mostly) not a book to be savored in peace. It needs an audience, willing or otherwise, who will listen and laugh along with you when you read random passages aloud. 3.5. I thoroughly enjoy the Bloggess. A little disappointed that one of the strongest chapters (the metal rooster) is one I had read long ago on the blog itself.

This book made me laugh out loud multiple times. Jenny Lawson is my kind of crazy only way, way, way more extreme.
