This was a little novelette satire about how ridiculous class distinctions are and how bad luck happens to everyone. It's funny and short; the majority of the book takes place in an English boarding school in the 30's (I'm guessing). ...more

This was a light, fun read, Waugh's first. I thought Vile Bodies was so amazing because there was a substance beneath the humor that this novel lacks, but it's an enjoyable read with no strings, no complications. ...more
