I found the pacing of this book kind of weird. It was really slow even to the halfway mark, then really sped up and ended abruptly. I really liked the world building, though, and many of the characters. I am interested in reading the sequel.
I ended up skipping through the middle of the book. Not a good sign. Women dealing with low self-esteem due to neglect or emotional abuse. Crippled dragons that remember days of glory. I'm not sure where she's going with this, but I don't like the characters enough to follow them.
