People, pick this up. The pace is wonderful, the characters are bright, and the imagery is *fantastic*. She plops you right into the world and I could see it as I read - I lost some sleep to this one!
Premise: wizard kids are eaten by creatures at a high rate. There is a school where they are eaten at a slightly lower rate.
