Never before has it happened that a book made me literally nauseated. But this one managed it. And no, not because of Brant. Brant was mentally ill, nothing that happened was his fault. Who turned my stomach was Lana. Because what did she do when she found out about Brant's condition? Did she sat him down and talk to him about it? 4.5 stars but couldn't round down for sure. This was fantastic and a very fast read, mostly because you know there's some deep dark secret and you HAVE to know what it is. It keeps you completely sucked in. I've never read a book with this story line detail. It was extremely well done imo. Off now to read as much by Ms. Torre as I can!! ...more
