What a wonderful surprise! A mysterious package from the fabulous Parnassus Books in Nashville containing this from my delightful friend Margaret....a "welcome to summer" and "hope this holds you til her new book comes out" gift. Can't wait to read it!

Probably 3.5 stars rounded up to a 4 - a very clever idea for a book - a woman wakes up from a nasty bump on the head to find that she doesn't remember the last ten years of her life....she believes she's pregnant with her first child when she act

Thank you for a wonderful weekend Liane Moriarty! I was completely engrossed in this story of a woman who loses 1o years worth of memories, and has to learn to reconcile her feelings as memories seep back into her consciousness.

Though this novel has some heft to it, it was a joy to read because of the change in voice as interrelated characters contribute to the first person narrative. The story line was intriguing...what would I think of my modern day self if I suddenly woke up feeling 10 years

I really enjoyed this combination of elements - memory and memory loss, the way it almost feels like
Alice has time traveled ten years forward, how people do and don’t change over time, the ups and downs of parenting. The pace is good, as we find out bits and pieces of Alice’s last ten years gradually. It’s also one of those books that makes you think about your own life and what past-you would be surprised to learn about present-you (bonus was that I’m the same age as Alice and also got pregnant

Quite a bit of repetition (both in themes and in story elements) but more interesting than other contemporary fiction books and had some genuinely funny moments.

Not my favorite of her books, but not because it wasn't good--it was just so bittersweet, to the point that I had two nights of sad dreams about losing people in my own life. ...more

I really enjoyed this. It’s interesting to think about how your 30 year old self is different from your 40 year old self. And the choices you make and what you’d do differently.
