I read this book while I was in the Peace Corps, during which I must have read about 50 books. This is one of the few whose title I remember off-hand. So, I guess you can say it left me with a great impression.
As an American-in-love-with-Europe, I appreciated the premise of the book. But most of all I appreciated the quality with which Hellenga dissected male/female relationships - their limits and susceptibility. I even have several quotes from this book written in one of my journals. It might
