What Members Thought
This was enormous fun, and had some delicious ideas in it. The ending, however, irritated me beyond measure. Some of the characters did, too. I strongly suspect I will read the next installment, but I hope it is better, and just as much fun.

This is an interesting take on the "alternate reality/Gods Walk Among Us" genres. I didn't like that it clearly sets up a sequel (authors: either declare it's part of a trilogy/series or tie it up at the end and let a sequel be a surprise. Please!), but I did like that it interwove bits of Manhattan's history with this fantasy world -- as a teacher, I can easily see creating ways to get students researching Hamilton Fish or the Stuyvesant Farm.
