This book was mentioned in the podcast, "Books on the Nightstand", and I was intrigued by their disinclination to say anything about the plot at all. Then I found it elsewhere, with the above admonition. I'll admit it, I was hooked. With warnings like that, I had to know more!

Everybody I know who read this book commented about the surprise ending. I just couldn't get that excited about this book. I felt like I had no emotional connection with the characters.

I'm kind of torn on this one. Overall, I liked it. The set up was good. The twist was fun and well done. But a lot of the middle was repetitive. Rounding up from 3.5.

Not what I was expecting and not very well done for what it turned out to be!
Even without the stunning ending, this book would be amazing. For one, I just love y/a authors who convey how young adults actually think and speak.
Meh. The ending was a bit too sad for me.
