This keeps showing up in Best of lists for 2014, so I had to read it and find out for myself.
To my surprise, I read it in just a few hours.
I am not the intended audience for this book.
I'm a 47 year old mom who enjoys reading YA sometimes. Books like The Hunger Games, Daughter of Smoke & Bone, and Harry Potter, have cross over appeal for all ages. This book? Does not.

I read this ARC via Netgalley.
Cady, Johnny, Mirren, and Gat have been spending their summers together on Martha's Vineyard since they were 8. The first three are all grandchildren of wealth, while Gat is the son of Johnny's mother's boyfriend. I'm kind of torn on this one. Overall, I liked it. The set up was good. The twist was fun and well done. But a lot of the middle was repetitive. Rounding up from 3.5.

When you pick up a book solely because it's been heralded as having a great twist ending, then you spend the whole book trying to figure out what the twist is, you can't criticize the ending for being too predictable.
Or at least, that's what I keep telling myself, since I guessed the ending before starting the book.
