Interesting but some of the emotional responses to the plot are lacking. Jace should be pissed at the end of the novel, yet she takes it in stride which makes no sense for a character that is established in the beginning as having a bad temper.

More seriously, attempting to read this book made me realize that there is a certain amount of effort (or digestion, that metaphor appeals to me too) involved in reading books set in alternate universes.
