It's been a while since I've read this for a preschool storytime, but I can still remember the rhyme Strega Nona recites to her magic pasta pot:

"Bubble, bubble, pasta pot.
Boil me some pasta, nice and hot.
I'm hungry and it's time to sup.
Boil enough pasta to fill me up!"

May 2017 - I'd forgotten how great the background illustrations are - those colonnades were so fantastically Italian. Ben loved the humor, and I think he'll find it even funnier in a year or so. ...more
