One of the most remarkable and charming books I've ever read. Through postcards and letters you come to know Griffin, an artist living in a big city, and Sabine, a young woman on a distant island, who have never met in person. But somehow Sabine can see what Griffin's painting, and so she strikes up a correspondence with him. They fall in love, but should they meet? And where?

A beautiful look into another world of two artists, although a bit indulgent on the part of the author. Two people start to correspond, one a depressed artist in London, one an exotic woman living on an island who designs stamps and has the power to see the man's drawings. Plot-wise, there isn't that much beyond manic pixie dream girl inspiring depressed man, but there are hints that there could be more than it seems. The drawings in this book were amazing. The format of it was very interesting and inventive. One side of the page would be the postcard face (or the front of an envelope). You flip the page and it is the writing on the postcard. The postcards/letters are being sent between Griffin, a London postcard artist, and Sabine, a stamp designer in the South Pacific. The ending of the story leaves you hanging so I can't wait till the next book comes from the library!
