An engaging, depressing, but also humorous look at the enormous amount of waste we generate, and what becomes of it. Some particularly poignant scenes, including the protagonists picking up the "foreclosure piles," which include family photos among discarded furniture and such. Not my favorite. Since my son is a trash collector, I found most of the gross stuff to be true. Didn't care for or need all the statistics - save it for a non-fiction book.

Wow, I learned so much about trash! This is an amazing educational work and I hope they start reading it in schools. Why were we not taught this in school? Trash is a crucial part of our life and so many don't even know what happens to it once it hits the garbage can.

This is really well-done, both art and research-wise, and for the most part it kept me engaged. The fictionalized part just isn't quite my thing, as I didn't really connect with any of the characters at all.
