I am sad that I have finished this series. Ransom Riggs brilliantly captures the attention of his readers with writing his narrative around the most interesting of photographs. I don't think I have read anything that is comparable. I feel thankful that I have lived in the time of David Bowie and Ransom Riggs! I hope to read his future endeavors, as well.

2 1/2 actually. Didn't read the first 2 books so had to review them first. The narrator made the story far more interesting than it was. Too many last second escapes/saves. Felt it concentrated too much on Jacob and Emma's relationship which didn't really make or break the story. At the start of disc 5, they compare themselves to Big Bird and Mr. Rogers when dressing to meet Bentham - seemed really out of place. Didn't care for the old photographs. Very graphic and at times crude.

It's good, but still not as good as "Miss Peregrine's."

Interesting conclusion to the series. The audio narrator is good, with great voices, but I'm not super fond of his 'narration' voice so it fell a little flat for me. I got a print copy too and all the pictures were a great touch!
