I hated this book. I had really high hopes, but I just couldn't do it. I think a great deal of that hate came from the stupid and completely illogical decisions the main character kept making. I tried and tried to make it to the end, but when her employees come in her room to dress her and start talking about her titties and the way they look and she lets them, I gave up. Also, why the heck doesn't she own a cat carrier? Seriously, you can buy one at any pet store or discount superstore for $30. ...more

A long time ago (I was 18) I read John Dies at the End when it was still just a story on the web. That book was a complete mindF***. So when I saw that David Wong had written a third book, I had to read it. (I haven't read the Spiders one yet, I hate spiders and can't stand the cover...).

This is as advertised: plenty of futuristic violence, with occasional forays into gorey, and plenty of (mostly) dudes in fancy suits. This book was a really fun sci-fi adventure. The funny, sarcastic tone of the entire thing helps keep it from getting too heavy or bleak.

This book was so far-fetched it was funny. The technology was so outlandish (surgery on your jaw so that you can eat/chew through metal??) it kept you wondering what the author would come up with next. Would have given it a 5 but there was a lot of violence toward the end. Tho, how can a 20 something female drag herself across the floor with ribs puncturing a lung, femur broken with bone sticking out, mouth full of broken teeth & barbed wire for restraints????? The action kept you wondering who ...more

Not for the faint-hearted (the title is not kidding), but it's kind of a fun romp all the same, and I adore the main character. ...more

While funny at times, this book was a bit too gory for my taste.
