I think I read this book at the perfect time, because this is a wonderful space adventure that also does this amazing job of focusing on loneliness in a confined space. I really loved the ensemble cast, each with their own problems in their attempts to deal in a confined space. I loved the way in which Chambers crafted the various alien races within the story, as well as their strengths and flaws.
