You're Never Weird on the Internet (Almost) is a memoir by Felicia 'Queen of the Geeks' Day, best known from her web-series 'The Guild', an accurate portrayal of the kind of people who play World of Warcraft style games. This went into her childhood all the way through until now, the days of when the madness that is Gamer Gate are harassing people such as Felicia, and it was interesting the whole way through.

I loved listening to this book on audio and I'm glad this is the route I went. Felicia Day's voice is so honest and raw, and I loved the way she told her personal stories with so much humour and gusto. I also loved how honest she was in talking about her depression and anxiety and I found that to be wonderful and eye-opening. ...more

I am not a fan of Felicia Day. Don't mistake me, I have nothing against her. I've seen her pop up here and there in nerdy contexts (it's hard to miss her if you're a nerd yourself), I just haven't followed her work or paid much attention to her. I also rarely read memoirs because to me that seems like the most boring book genre ever (Yes, ever.). But then I saw this audio book and though "hmm, she's probably funny to listen to, and it will probably be pretty nerdy. I'll give it a try". So wort
