This was an enjoyable book to read, although far from perfect and could be tropey sometimes. I liked Tessa (definitely more than Clary) and the premise of the love triangle. Jem is so precious! The romance was always more focused on Will in this triangle. The side characters are also great - Charlotte, Henry, even Jessamine. Magnus Bane made an appearance. I liked the storyline with the infernal devices and Tessa's powers.

Had a tough time getting into the "City of Bones" and well as far as everyone on the booktuber's department were concerned it was best to go into the "Infernal Devices" first and at least I took their advice and I finally finished this book at last took me a while but I did it.

By the way I'm rooting Will and Tessa also prepare for some character deaths too.

I'll be reading the rest of this trilogy at some point but I enjoyed this book a lot.
