I absolutely loved reading this novel. Kristin Hannah did a great job of making me feel transported to the time. It was such an intense read and I struggled to hold back tears while reading on the subway. Not only was the story intriguing, but I appreciated the realness of it with it various characters (like Beck) being both evil and good - as is human nature.
