A Hallowed Knights story, instead of the grand sweep of battle this is much smaller scale, as Gardus travels alone to the city of Demesnus in the Realm of Ghyran, where he lived in his first life. Seeking insight into the changes wrought upon him since being Reforged, he searches out familiar sights and sounds, hoping to stir old memories.

A short and enjoyable read. We get to learn a little more about our favourite doctor-turned-stormcast. Where he came from, the hospice he managed in life, and his philosophy on ever-renewing faith. He also resolves the voices that consistently called out to him in quiet moments in previous publications.
