This series is fantastic. This first book had me hooked from the first chapter. I sped through the current books out. The atmosphere is gritty and intense, perfectly capturing the severity of their new lifestyle even if some of the people in their little town don't understand.
I love all the characters, the setting, just.... everything.

I always seem to enjoy Kelley Armstrong's writing. The characters are so flawed and real you can't help but root for or against them. The city and what it stands for intrigued me, but the extra little twist on some of the residents really drew me in. Great read! ...more
