I really did enjoy the book, while doing my best not to make connections with her other books. I raced through the pages last night, fully drawn in. Her world building is great- loved how she was able to add angels, werewolves, demons, even fae and mer folk. Although, her world is a hodgepodge of different cultures that already exist- greek and, norse mythology, and probably a smatter of other cultures too.
But down to the nitty gritty details- her characters are basically carbon copy of her oth

Queen Maas has done it again! The world building is, as always, on point! The feeeeels!!!! OMG! The twist at the beginning got me and made me ugly cry. I was expecting something between ACOTAR and ToG but this was neither! I cannot wait to see where Bryce's story goes! ...more

Sarah J. Maas is excellent at bringing together an immersive world and action scenes. After reading through Throne of Glass, ACOTAR, and now Crescent City, I’ve started having issues with other aspects of her writing. Sarah enjoys trauma porn and seems incapable of having a single healthy depiction of healing from said trauma whatsoever.
