Ok so reading this again really made me not like it as much as the first time. The story line is great, but Jemma (I hate that name) is a frustrating character to like. She is always in denial and playing the woe is me card and I want to be ignorant. Then there's the constant use of the word "ticked," which I highlighted all and I'm pretty sure there were 11 times it was used. So rating changed to a 3.5 (but I round up not down) and on to the next one :) ...more

YA para

This was a great laid foundation, I like my books to move a little faster but the build up was good. Jemmas life is turned upside down when her father is killed by vampires and she finds out she’s not human.
