Good start to a new series. I really liked Celaena. She was a survivor!! I loved watching her character evolve. I find it amusing that everyone was afraid of a mere girl, who happened to be the most feared assassin of the land. Well, she was always contemplating how to kill everyone and escape.
There was also some humor. Like when she was having her monthly pains, worrying about how she would train like that and her eating all of the candy that Dorian sent her. She ate most the candy for breakfas ...more

Reread and reread
This being the second time I have read this book, and I continuously fall more in love with the series. Action. Romance. Plot twists. Suspense. Meh...
I breezed through the ACOTAR series and I really enjoyed the last two books so I moved on to this series just be kinda disappointed.
I read the description thinking this book would be badass and amazing but the main character is kinda “meh” like she’s the supposedly the greatest assassin but it’s not shown in this book at all. If anything Maas is just telling us that she’s great without actually showing us how great she is.
And more importantly, since she is an assassin that actually KILL ...more
