I didn't like this book as much as I was expecting to. I hovered between 3 and 4 stars for most of the book. I am not sure if it was because it's YA and truly reads like YA or not? I mean I enjoy YA, don't get me wrong, but not when the characters seem really immature to me even if that is truer to life. However, I already have the entire series and the spinoff series already so I will read on. There were some interesting things happening within the plot and I am hoping book 2 is more enjoyable ...more

I was in the mood for a cheasy and simple to read book and this fit the requirements. It was entertaining but sometimes I was annoyed by the language Cast used. She tried to be too "hip". The characters were interesting and I have hunches about certain people in the future. I plan to continue the series. If Cast's level of writing improves, I will improve my rating on future books. ...more
