This book expands the Otherworld beyond werewolves, introducing witches, half-demons, etc. (Also vampires, who - thankfully - never take center stage in this series. Yes, I don't much like vampires.) Elena is kidnapped by a group of (mostly) humans: scientists who want to poke and prod supernaturals and a wealthy psycho who wants to hunt them for fun. Elena has some great snark moments dealing with her captors, and in the end Elena, Clay (and the reader) get to indulge some karmic revenge fantas
