What Members Thought
I like Maya, like Chloe, she feels like a very authentic teen character. Apart from that, she's pretty much the polar opposite of Chloe in a lot of ways. Where Chloe at first lacked confidence, Maya can be too confident sometimes. Where Chloe sometimes forgives too easily, Maya is prone to snap-judgments and subconsciously holding grudges. I give this book a 3 1/2 stars.
It captivated my imagination and at many points I found it near difficult to put down. However, I found I had to go back and reread pages as it was easy to miss certain things. The ending almost felt as if it was rushed along. Not to give any spoilers away about the ending, but it was almost as if the ending chapters were chaotic. Which after giving the ending much thought, if that was Armstrong's intent to follow along with the chaos events of the ending itself, ...more
