Set in a futuristic world - there's a gun ban, fake coffee, droid cooks, paid companions & spine chilling murders
Roarke turns up everywhere, making him a suspect. Complication. Sigh
Break the alibi!!!
The bit about trying to legislate our morality and personal lifestyles resonates with me. Deep and a topic for never ending debate.

I have to review this book since 50% of my friends on Goodreads have already read it and some are patiently awaiting to see how I feel about this book since they all love it and the entire series for that matter and have been pushing me to read it for some time. So first of all, I love her writing style and it makes me rather sad that I have never read a Nora Roberts book before now, even if this series is written under a different name. Lucky for me I already own several Nora Roberts books so t

This book was an absolute delight to read. Action, Romance, Mystery, and slight fantasy -- this book has everything I want in a book.
I will admit that I started this book skeptical about the futuristic aspects, unsure if I would find them to be corny, but it was actually well done. Heard so much about Eve and Roarke, I had to see if the hype added up. It does. Loved the suspense story, even though I'd figured out the villain early on, and really enjoyed the emotional and sexual chemistry between the two protagonists.

This was an awesome book, looking forward to reading the rest of the series. Kept me right into the book, with the twists and turns and the who dun it. I had an idea of the person but I was proved wrong by the end.... great book.
Great book, fast read, m/f, suspense, action packed and of course some romance.
