This is a much loved series and I was nervous when I started.
The writing is unique. I finally found an author who does absolutely no filler. Every word matters.
Most of the story is character driven. You grow to care about these characters because they have so much going on. A lot is revealed as the story progresses, it reads like a mystery and you want to know what happens next.
All of them were interesting but my favorites are Adam, Ronan, Maura and her friends.

Read this in one day and I am a very slow reader.
The writing is absolutely capticating.
The setting of this book is so magical and mysteric and it enhances the vibe of the plot so Well.
The characters are all just so lovable (while they can be such arrogant snobs sometimes - Yes gansey i’m talking about you) and I just want to adopt them all and feed them homebaked cookies for dinner.

I will admit that this took me a while to really get into, but that may be because I was in a funky mood and Google Play Books doesn't always react as quickly as I want.
Anyhow, I love the characters and I am so interested to see where this is going.

Feb 25, 2024: Narrator was Will Patton and he did an amazing job. I am bumping my rating from 4 stars to 5 stars. This storyline was so entertaining, especially for a young adult book.
