I really enjoyed this book. I liked the characters. I loved the banter between Daemon and Katy, as well as, the sexual chemistry. I found the storyline interesting. I'm anxious to jump into the next book in the series.

This story grabs hold and doesn't let go. Very well written. I wanted to jump into the book and beat Daemon on many occasions. Don't get me wrong, some of the things in this book are the general over done concepts of YA books. Like the gorgeous jerk of a love interest who is caring underneath his tough exterior. I stumbled upon this series while trying to find a paranormal fantasy romance book to read. First I read the books description and seen that is mention the state of West Virginia in it. Then I read a little more about the author and see that was from the state of West Virginia. Seeing that I was born and raised in the state on WV I felt that I should read this book series. Not as bad as I was expecting considering some of my fav booktubers/reviewers/bloggers didn't like it or just out and out hated it.In fact I really enjoyed Katy. Such a shocker for me in the YA world.
First time I have read J.L Armentrout, and I'm impressed.She took a classic ya story, gave it a spin and made her characters a lot more realistic than I get to ever see in YA paranormals.

It was my first time reading about alien and after reading the synopsis of this book I was wary to read. But there was something about this book that makes me want to read and I did. It was nothing like the other YA paranormal that I usually read, completely different in a good way. The characters are so honest with each other and they call each other on their bs that I loved so much about this book and Katy I love her so forthcoming with everything.
