This may be my favorite romance book ever. I was so touched by Ian and his struggles. Beth was the perfect compliment to him. I literally cried when(mild spoiler) Daniel told Beth that they were all speechless because they had never heard Ian laugh before. The secondary characters were likable and a good complement to the story. I'm already in love with Cameron.

Now this series written in a different time where no technology is about. Horse n buggy days ect. historical romance of sorts with some erotica thrown in the mix. yummy hot men... looking forward to reading this whole series. Love her books so far this year.
Just read the Shifters Unbound series and it was excellent. - paranormal series

Thank the stars, I still like historical romances! This book has shown me that I've been reading duds lately. This one? I had that spark of enjoyment from the beginning -- something I was doubly grateful for as I felt I was falling into a slump.
Ian is such an interesting character and not one we usually see in a historical. I'm pretty sure he is autistic. Beth is a widow and isn't as shy or nervous about things which is so refreshing.
I'm not a huge fan on how the ending conflict goes ...more
