In my opinion this is the best of the In Death books I have read, and I have enjoyed all of them to date.

Vengeance in Death was interesting but I had two major issues. First is that Eve who has been so straight and by the book really bends things in the investigation to try and keep Roarke's secrets and second, it is hard not to change how I am supposed to view Roarke -as the man he has made himself and the man he is with Eve- when there are strong parallels between him and the killer both killing to avenge a wrong and the brutality of the deaths
