I really enjoyed reading the second book in the series, it gave you enough information with the Maynard and shape shifters for you to get enough of a hint of that they have just as much of a diverse society as the vampires do but not quite as in-depth as a look into shape shifter society cause they don't seem to work with others of their kind as much as vampires do,For me personally I feel like the Way I feel is mostly because I have spent many many years participating in live action role-playin ...more

Maenads, werewolves, and cultists, oh my!

Sookie is summoned by Eric and on her way meets a maenad who wants to give Eric a message. Shortly thereafter Sookie finds she’s been loaned to Dallas to help them find a missing vampire. This sets off her mission into a cult where the fanatics try to hurt her, and a Vampire wants to meet the sun.
